Adare Manor is a grand 19th-century manor house located in the picturesque village of Adare, County Limerick, on the banks of the River Maigue.

Originally the seat of the Earls of Dunraven, it was rebuilt between 1832 and 1862 in an impressive Gothic Revival style and is considered one of Ireland’s finest country estates. The manor is famous for its elaborate architecture, decorative stonework, and its design as a “calendar house,” featuring 365 windows, 52 chimneys, 7 stone pillars, and 4 towers representing the days, weeks, and seasons of the year.

Construction of the estate also provided valuable employment for local people during the Great Famine. Today, Adare Manor operates as a world-class luxury hotel and golf resort set within extensive parkland and gardens. Renowned for its historic character, elegant interiors, and championship golf course, it is one of Ireland’s most prestigious visitor destinations and is scheduled to host the 2027 Ryder Cup.
