Bantoncillo Island
Philippines , Philippines
Bantoncillo Island, also known locally as Gakut Island, is a small, uninhabited island just off the coast of Banton in Romblon Province in the central Philippines.
It forms part of the Banton municipal group along with larger Banton Island and the Dos Hermanas Islands, and is one of the more remote spots in the so‑called “Tres Islas” cluster in the Sibuyan Sea.
The island is mostly undeveloped, with a rugged coastline, patches of forest, and pockets of white‑sand beach where the water is clear and turquoise, making it a quiet, raw‑nature destination for local island‑hopping trips and snorkeling rather than a full‑blown resort site.
