Barntown Castle is a ruined medieval tower house located near Wexford town in County Wexford, Ireland.
Built by the Roche family during the 15th or 16th century, it occupied a strategic position overlooking the surrounding countryside and formed part of a network of defensive structures in the region. The castle originally stood five storeys high and was designed as both a fortified residence and a lookout point.
Its defensive features included a protected entrance, narrow windows, and internal living quarters typical of Irish tower houses of the period. By the time of the 1641 Irish Rebellion, the castle had already fallen into ruin, and today it survives as a historic landmark set within farmland.
