Belleek Castle Hotel is a historic neo-Gothic manor house located in Belleek Woods near Ballina, County Mayo, on the banks of the River Moy.

Built between 1825 and 1831 by Sir Francis Knox-Gore on the site of an earlier medieval stronghold, it served as the residence of the influential Knox-Gore family for more than a century. After changing ownership several times during the 20th century and serving various roles, including as a hospital and military barracks, the castle was purchased and restored by Marshall Doran in 1961.

His efforts transformed the building into a distinctive hotel while preserving its historic character and architectural features. Today, Belleek Castle Hotel is renowned for its dramatic architecture, woodland setting, museum collections, and rich history. Combining heritage, luxury, and the natural beauty of County Mayo, it is one of the region’s most iconic visitor destinations.
