Beni Haoua is a coastal town and commune in Chlef Province, Algeria, situated along the Mediterranean Sea about 170 km west of Algiers and 95 km northeast of Chlef city, named after the local Berber tribe inhabiting the area.

Known for its scenic beach, small port used historically by locals as miners, and lush mountainous forests of cork oak, green oak, pines, and fruit trees like figs and olives, the region features diverse terrain from sea level to over 1,000 meters at Djebel Bissa, supporting agriculture and wildlife including partridges and hares.

It holds cultural significance with the sanctuary of Yemma Binette, linked to a 1802 shipwreck story involving shipwrecked nuns rescued by locals, and boasts a rich history of Roman settlements, colonial names like Tamdint and Francis Garnier, and a population around 25,000 amid artisan crafts and natural beauty.
