Botanic Garden Hokkaidō University is a 13.3‑hectare botanical garden in central Sapporo, Hokkaido, opened in 1886 as part of the Old Sapporo Agricultural College and is the second‑oldest botanical garden in Japan.

It is operated by Hokkaido University as a research and education facility and is open to the public for recreation and learning. The garden maintains about 4,000 plant taxa, with a strong focus on alpine and cool‑temperate plants from Hokkaido and neighboring areas, and includes sections for alpine plants, shrubs, Northern cultures, herbaceous plants, and a greenhouse.

Highlights include spring ephemeral wildflowers, Japanese cherry blossoms in spring, and beautiful autumn foliage in fall. The garden is open daily 9:00–16:30 (last admission 16:00) from April 29 to October 3, and 9:00–16:00 (last admission 15:30) from October 4 to November 3; it is closed on Mondays (on Tuesday when a national holiday falls on Monday), and the garden, museums, and facilities are closed for winter from November 4 to April 28, when only the greenhouse is accessible.
