It forms part of barangay Guinbirayan and covers a modest area of about 2 kilometers long and 1.5 kilometers wide, with a maximum elevation of around 85 meters. The island features a mix of wooded slopes, rocky red bluffs along its southern and eastern shores, and mangrove‑lined coasts on the west and north, giving it a rather rugged, natural look.

In earlier records it was organized as a separate island barrio, and today it remains a quiet, low‑profile destination reachable by boat from Santa Fe, often visited by locals and small‑group travelers exploring the Romblon island group.
