Camiguin is a small island province in the Bohol Sea, just off the northern coast of Mindanao in the southern Philippines, and is often called the “Island Born of Fire” because it was shaped by several volcanoes, including the still-active Mount Hibok-Hibok.

The island is known for its relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere and rich natural attractions packed into a compact area: white-sand spots like White Island sandbar, lush waterfalls such as Katibawasan and Tuasan, hot and cold springs, and offshore sites like the Sunken Cemetery and Mantigue Island for snorkeling and diving.

Visitors come for a mix of gentle adventure and quiet retreat, enjoying scenic coastal roads, tropical greenery, heritage churches and ancestral houses, and local specialties like sweet lanzones fruit, which is celebrated every October in a colorful island festival.
