Castelo de Alvito at Largo do Castelo 3 in Alvito, Portugal, was commissioned by King João II around 1482 for the Barons of Alvito, with construction starting in 1494 under the 2nd Baron D. Diogo Lopes da Silveira and completing in 1504 during King Manuel I's reign.

Blending Islamic, Gothic, and Manueline styles in a rectangular layout with four cylindrical corner towers, horseshoe-arched windows, mainelada details, brick voussoirs, and a chamfered main gate once spanned by a drawbridge over a moat, it transitioned from military stronghold to noble residence.

Owned by the Alvito family for four centuries before passing to the Portuguese Crown in the 19th century, it became a National Monument in 1910 and a Pousada hotel in 1993 after restorations.
