Castelo de Balsamão is a medieval fortification located in Chacim, in the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros, Portugal, set atop Mount Balsamão with sweeping views over the surrounding landscape.
The site has been occupied since the Iron Age and later became a strategic defensive outpost, although today the main remnants are the curving stone walls and a convent that was built nearby in the eighteenth century.
