Castelul Béldy (Beldy Castle) in Gherla (Gyeke), Cluj County, Romania, is a late 19th-century historicist manor built around 1902 by Kálmán Béldy on land donated by his father-in-law Béla Wesselényi from their vast Transylvanian estate, blending Renaissance Revival elements with symmetrical facades, projecting wings, a spacious loggia terrace, and an elegant front garden once featuring tennis courts and horse training areas. Constructed to celebrate Béldy's marriage to Pálma Wesselényi, it served as a luxurious family residence tied to the Béldy and Wesselényi noble lines—prominent in politics, horse breeding, and cultural patronage—until nationalization in 1948, when it functioned as a hospital, retirement home, and neuropsychiatric facility. Restituted to heirs in 2009 and now under Sălaj County Council administration, the well-preserved castle amid oak forests symbolizes aristocratic splendor and regional heritage near Jibou.
