Castlecoote is a small rural village and townland in County Roscommon, in the province of Connacht, western Ireland.

It lies near Roscommon town on the banks of the River Suck, an area known for its scenic countryside, fishing, and walking routes. The village is best known for Castlecoote House, a restored Georgian mansion that incorporates parts of an older fortified castle dating back several centuries. The area takes its name from Sir Charles Coote, who occupied and strengthened the original castle in the early 17th century.

Today, Castlecoote remains a quiet community with a strong agricultural character, while tourism is supported by its historic buildings, river landscape, and cultural events held at Castlecoote House. The village has also gained recognition for its appearance and community efforts, earning awards in Ireland’s Tidy Towns competition.
