Chernelytsia Castle, located in the village of Chernelytsia in Dnistrovskyi Raion, Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine, was constructed at the beginning of the 17th century as a defensive fortress overlooking the Dniester River to protect against Ottoman and Tatar incursions during Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth rule.

Built by local nobleman Mykhailo Khodoryvsky with robust stone walls, corner towers, and bastions in Renaissance style, it played a key role in King Jan III Sobieski's campaigns against the Turks in the late 17th century, serving as a strategic outpost above vital river crossings.

Today, the ruins preserve remnants of its fortifications amid scenic cliffs, standing as a testament to Podilia's turbulent border history alongside nearby sites like Rakovets Castle.
