Claremont Beach is a small, sheltered sandy beach in the coastal village of Howth in County Dublin, Ireland, located just behind Howth Harbour on the north side of the peninsula.

It is often described as a “hidden” or quieter alternative to the main harbour‑front beaches, with soft sand and pebbles backed by low cliffs and greenery, creating a peaceful setting for walks and family outings.

At low tide the beach expands into a much larger expanse of sand and connects loosely with nearby Burrow Beach, offering long promenades and clear views across the bay to the island of Ireland’s Eye. The water is relatively calm and can be pleasant for a summer swim, though.

It remains cool, and the beach is popular with locals and visitors who want a relaxed, scenic seaside spot close to Dublin city with easy access by car or bus.
