Country Residence Museum Jachthuis Sint Hubertus, located in De Hoge Veluwe National Park near Hoenderloo, Netherlands, was designed from 1914-1920 by renowned architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage as a hunting lodge and country residence for industrialist Anton Kröller and his art-collecting wife Helene. Berlage created a Gesamtkunstwerk total artwork, encompassing the cruciform brick building with its Hubertus-themed tower, interiors, furniture, gardens, pond, and even cutlery, incorporating early 20th-century luxuries like central heating, electricity, and a lift. After the couple donated their estate to the Dutch state, it became a museum showcasing preserved rooms and Hubertus symbolism, accessible only by guided tour within the park.
