Diyatha Uyana Park is a public wetland and recreation area in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, very close to Colombo, built on reclaimed marshland along the Diyawanna Oya river near the Waters Edge Hotel and the Sri Lankan Parliament.

The park is known as a peaceful green escape from city life, with a wide walking path along the river, landscaped lawns, and a striking modern fountain that lights up in the evening. It features a separate children’s play area with slides and swings, a flower market, a small circular aquarium, and local food stalls or cafes, and it also hosts a lively weekend market where dozens of vendors sell crafts, plants, and food.

The park is family‑friendly, open at no entry charge, and popular in the mornings and evenings for jogging, relaxing, or letting children play while adults enjoy views of the river and nearby Parliament building.
