Dundaga Castle is one of Latvia’s largest and best-preserved medieval castles, located in the village of Dundaga in Talsi Municipality.

Originally built in the late 13th century by the Archbishopric of Riga, it served as a fortified stronghold and later became the center of a large estate in the Courland region. Over the centuries, the castle changed ownership several times, was damaged by wars and fires, and underwent major renovations that transformed it from a medieval fortress into a stately residence.

Its architecture reflects different historical periods, and the castle is surrounded by ponds and parkland that add to its scenic character.
