Ellinge Castle, located near Eslöv in Sweden's Skåne region, ranks among the oldest manors in the area with origins tracing back to the 12th or 13th century as a defensible fortress surrounded by medieval moats.

The current structure evolved from 15th-century buildings, later transformed in the 18th century into a traditional Swedish-style mansion with a 19th-century tower addition, passing through noble Danish and Swedish families like the Galens, Thotts, and Wrangels before the Wehtje family acquired it in 1950. 

Today, this whitewashed castle with 12 overnight rooms operates as a venue for weddings, conferences, and events, featuring preserved moats, gardens, and even vodka production using estate-grown grains and its own mineral-rich spring.
