Erstavik
Älta, Sweden, Sweden
Erstavik is a historic manor house located in Nacka Municipality near Älta and Saltsjöbaden, south of Stockholm, Sweden, overlooking an inlet of the Baltic Sea adjacent to the Nackareservatet nature reserve.
First documented in 1356 when granted to Bengt Larsson, it passed through various owners before being acquired by the Petersen family in the 18th century, whose descendants still hold it as one of Sweden's few remaining fideicommissum estates.
The current three-story main building, designed by architect Jean Eric Rehn and constructed in the 1760s, features well-preserved Rococo and Gustavian-style interiors, including a chapel and two wings, with the property enduring damage during the 1719 Russian fleet raids in the Great Northern War.
