Fondeado Island
Philippines , Philippines
Fondeado Island, also known as Tajo Island, is a privately owned island in Honda Bay on the eastern coast of Palawan in the Philippines, lying about an hour and a half by boat from the Sta.
Lourdes Wharf in Puerto Princesa City. It is the largest and farthest island in Honda Bay, covering roughly 10.7 hectares, and remains largely uninhabited except for seasonal caretakers and coconut‑farm workers who manage thousands of coconut trees and a small freshwater well.
The island’s northern, southern, and eastern sides are ringed with dense mangrove forests that protect the shoreline from erosion and provide a nursery for fish, giving Fondeado a quiet, natural, and secluded character rather than a developed beach‑resort vibe.
