Fukui Castle (Osaka)
Osaka, Japan
Fukui Castle in Osaka was a hilltop castle located in Ibaraki, Osaka, Japan.
It was burned down in 1657 and today only the plateau where the inner citadel once stood remains. Unlike the more famous Fukui Castle in Fukui Prefecture, this Osaka castle no longer exists in any rebuilt form or preserved ruins. Its history as a fortified location in the Osaka region ended with that destruction in the mid-17th century.
