Managed by the Punjab Forestry and Wildlife Department under the Ministry of Forestry, Government of Pakistan, the park is a combination of a botanical garden, wildlife park, zoo, bird sanctuary, breeding center, and picnic spot that provides recreational facilities at economical charges while educating the public about forests and forest types. The park's main attractions include huge green parks with rides for children, flowing canals across the park, a bamboo growing area, large forested areas perfect for hiking and nature walks, and two scenic lakes where boating is done in one lake while the other lake houses many crocodiles that visitors can safely view from a cordoned distance.
