Kili Island, a small coral islet of about 81 hectares (0.93 square kilometers) in the Ralik Chain of the Marshall Islands, lies approximately 48 kilometers southwest of Jaluit and south of Bikini Atoll, with its highest point reaching just 3 meters above sea level.

Since 1949, it has served as the resettlement home for around 415 Bikini Islanders displaced by U.S. nuclear testing, though the lack of a natural lagoon limits self-sufficiency in food production, relying on external aid amid tropical vegetation like coconut palms. 

Increasingly vulnerable to climate change, the low-lying island has faced repeated ocean flooding since 2011, contaminating wells and prompting relocation discussions, while preserving a close-knit community in this remote Pacific setting.
