Magheragallan Beach, also spelled Magheragallon, is a small, relatively quiet sandy beach in the Gweedore (Gaoth Dobhair) area of County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland, tucked between the more famous Port Arthur and Bunbeg beaches. The beach lies along Strand Road, with a small car park and a short concrete path that leads down to the shore, making it accessible for families and those with buggies or wheelchairs. It is known for its soft sand, scattered rocks and seaweed, and an abundance of sea glass that makes it a favourite spot for beachcombing and casual walks rather than heavy swimming or crowds. Behind the beach are dunes and a coastal trail connecting to neighbouring beaches and offering panoramic views over Donegal’s rugged Atlantic coastline, while the nearby pier serves as a departure point for a small ferry to Gola Island, adding a gentle island‑hopping option to an otherwise peaceful seaside outing.
