Malanipa Island, also known as Manalipa, is a small inhabited island about 25 kilometers east of downtown Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines, situated in the Moro Gulf.

It is part of Zamboanga City’s group of offshore islands and is administered as Barangay Manalipa, with a small coastal fishing community and a population of about 2,500 as of the latest census.

The island features fine white sand, shallow crystal‑clear waters, and vibrant marine life, making it appealing for swimming, snorkeling, and simple island camping, with basic temporary shelters and the option to pitch a tent under coconut trees.

Nearby Panganak Sandbar, or Little Malanipa, adds a short boat‑trip attraction where visitors can walk on a narrow sandbar and enjoy more snorkeling. Access is by motorboat from the mainland wharf at Arena Blanco, and the island is noted for its quiet, rustic atmosphere and relatively secure sea route close to the city.
