Manjuyod White Sandbar, often called the “Maldives of the Philippines,” is a stunning natural sandbar located in North Bais Bay in Manjuyod, Negros Oriental, known for its long stretch of powdery white sand that emerges during low tide and seems to float in crystal-clear turquoise waters.

The sandbar stretches about 7 kilometers and is surrounded by shallow, clear waters ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and seeing marine life, with beautiful corals and fresh seafood nearby making it a paradise for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts. A unique feature is the cluster of small stilt huts or cottages built over the water that can be rented for overnight stays, offering a magical experience of sleeping above the sea when the tide rises and the sandbar disappears.

The best time to visit is during low tide, and the tour often includes dolphin watching in the nearby Tañon Strait, with dolphin season running from March to October and the best viewing early in the morning just after sunrise. Visitors are advised to avoid weekends and Philippine holidays to escape crowds, bring extra clothes, towels, water, and an underwater camera, and check tide forecasts before booking to ensure the sandbar is fully visible.
