Mantigue Island Port
Philippines , Philippines
Mantigue Island Port is the departure point in San Roque, Barangay Mahinog, Camiguin province, Philippines, from which visitors take a 25–30 minute boat ride to reach Mantigue Island (also known as Magsaysay Island), a tiny 4-hectare protected sanctuary just 3.5 kilometers off the volcanic island of Camiguin.
The port serves as the main gateway to this pristine white-sand island fringed with powdery coral sand, where visitors pay an entrance fee of ₱75 per person and can charter a boat for around ₱750 (suitable for 6 people) to explore one of Camiguin's most beautiful natural treasures.
Mantigue Island is a protected sea turtle sanctuary that was once a fishing village but now remains uninhabited after the government prohibited residents, featuring one side with a white sand beach and offshore corals perfect for swimming, and the opposite side with a deep drop-off ideal for snorkeling and diving.
Visitors can stay in cottages on the island for up to 3 hours maximum, enjoy crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounded by vibrant marine life and coral reefs, and bring their own food since there are no restaurants on the island itself. The island is small enough to walk around in under 30 minutes and offers shade, soft white sand, sprawling coral reefs, and excellent snorkeling spots nearby, making it a serene, unspoiled paradise perfect for day trips from Camiguin.
