Mullaghmore Beach is a scenic ~3 km stretch of white sandy shoreline in County Sligo on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, located between Cliffoney and Grange in the small fishing village and holiday resort of Mullaghmore.

The beach is backed by sand dunes and is part of the Bunduff Lough and Machair Special Area of Conservation, supporting diverse plant life and coastal wildlife, with reefs off the coast. It’s a sheltered, safe beach for swimming, windsurfing, kiteboarding, kayaking and other water sports, with beach guards on duty from June to September, beach ramps, lifebuoys and good water quality.

The harbor provides sheltered anchorage for small and medium craft and serves as a base for licensed angling and passenger boats, sea angling trips and excursions to Inishmurray Island. Near the village you’ll find the iconic Classiebawn Castle and panoramic views of Ben Bulben and the Dartry Mountains, while the spot is internationally known in recent years for big‑wave surfing, attracting surfers worldwide and hosting major big‑wave events.
