The name "Munting Buhangin" translates to "small sand" in Tagalog, referring to its grayish, not-too-fine sand. The beach features a good wide shoreline with shallow swimming areas that are safe for casual swimming, and visitors can bring their own food and drinks into the resort.

Activities available include kayaking, banana boat rides, doughnut boat, speed boat, jet skiing, beach volleyball, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and boating, with night swimming also being popular since the water stays warm and the area has spotlights for visibility. 

The 24-hectare property offers various accommodations ranging from nipa huts and picnic huts to air-conditioned cottages, tree houses, villas, and honeymoon suites, making it suitable for large families and groups. To reach the beach, visitors need to walk down more than a dozen steps from the parking area, which may not be ideal for people with mobility issues, and it's accessible by bus to Nasugbu followed by a tricycle ride, or by private car via SLEX and Tagaytay.
