Namerdgala, also called Charek Fortress, is a medieval defensive stronghold in the Gadabay area of Azerbaijan, near Soyudlu village. It is built on a rocky, forested mountain slope and is known for its hard-to-reach position, which made it useful for defense. The fortress is now mostly in ruins, but it remains an important historical monument linked to Azerbaijan’s medieval past and local legends.
