Nishikawa Castle is a historic Japanese castle site in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, dating from the Sengoku (Warring States) period.

It was built between 1532 and 1555 by Saigo Kiyokazu as a branch fortress of the Saigo clan and served as a strategic outpost in the Mikawa region during a time of frequent military conflict. Although the original buildings no longer survive, visitors can still see important remains such as earthen ramparts, a dry moat, and the layout of the former stronghold.

The site is located on elevated ground and is open to the public, with information boards explaining its history. Today, Nishikawa Castle is valued as an archaeological and historical landmark that offers insight into Japan’s feudal past. Surrounded by woodland and orchards, it provides a peaceful setting where visitors can explore traces of a medieval castle and learn about the local samurai clans.
