Nure, also known as Lilliput, is a small townland in County Westmeath, Ireland, located about five miles south of Mullingar at the southern end of Lough Ennell.

It covers 244 acres and had a recorded population of 22. The place is famous for its connection to Jonathan Swift, the author of Gulliver's Travels; local tradition says that while boating on Lough Ennell, Swift noticed how small people looked from a distance, which inspired the tiny Lilliputians in his book.

At the time, the area was called “Nure,” but after Gulliver's Travels was published in 1726, locals began calling it “Lilliput,” and the new name stuck during the 18th century. Today, the site includes Lilliput House, an 18th-century building that now houses the Lilliput Adventure Centre, and the surrounding area is part of the Jonathan Swift Amenity Park, which features an 18-hole par-3 golf course and hosts an annual sports event that has run since the late 1920s.
