Olotayan Island is a small, picturesque island located in Roxas City, Capiz, on Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines, often called the "Little Boracay of Roxas City" for its stunning white sand beaches and crystal-clear blue waters.

This hidden tropical escape is one of Capiz's best-kept secrets and the only island barangay of Roxas City, offering a peaceful, uncrowded getaway with few tourists, making it ideal for travelers seeking tranquility away from popular destinations like Boracay. The island features pristine white shell beaches dotted with rocks, emerald waters, magnificent rock formations, cliffs, and interesting caves, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, and relaxing amidst nature.

According to local folklore, the island formed when anitos (spirits) struck an evil giant with lightning, scattering the giant's body parts across the sea. To reach Olotayan Island, visitors fly to Roxas Airport in Capiz, then take a 45-minute to 1-hour boat ride from Banica Pier, with boat rental costing around ₱1,800 to ₱4,000 depending on vessel size.

The island has free entrance, small cottage rentals for ₱200 (for 5-10 people) and large cottages for ₱400 (for up to 20 people), limited electricity (not 24 hours), and no stores, so visitors should bring their own food, drinks, snacks, and snorkeling gear. The beach is particularly beautiful for picnics and offers an authentic Philippine island experience with warm, friendly locals and abundant greenery.
