Pamalican Island
Philippines, Philippines
Pamalican Island is a small, sandy island in the Cuyo archipelago of the northern Palawan province in the Philippines, lying in the Sulu Sea between Palawan and Panay.
It is narrow and elongated, about 2.5 kilometers long and up to 500 meters wide, set in the center of a roughly 7‑square‑kilometer coral reef ringed by clear, turquoise waters rich in marine life including turtles and rays.
The island is privately owned and home to the Amanpulo resort, one of the Philippines’ most exclusive luxury destinations, with a private airstrip used for small charter flights from Manila and virtually no other permanent accommodation or public infrastructure, making it a secluded, high‑end beach getaway rather than a typical mass‑tourism spot.
