After 1848, Count Hesseistein acquired it, adding a second floor and lobby in a romantic style, while the structure endured regional conflicts and population shifts before becoming a school in 1934. Today, this historic manor near the Ukrainian border preserves elements of Transylvanian noble architecture amid its rural setting, reflecting centuries of local lordship and fortification needs.
