The Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza Memorial is a prominent monument and museum in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of the Congo.

Opened in 2006, it was built to honor the Italian-born French explorer Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza, who founded Brazzaville in 1880 and played a major role in the region’s colonial history. The memorial features a striking white marble building, a large statue of Brazza, and a mausoleum that contains the remains of Brazza, his wife, and their four children.

It also houses a museum and documentation center that present historical information about his expeditions, the founding of Brazzaville, and the history of the Congo.
