Praia da Ribeira Brava is a charming oceanic beach located right in the heart of the town of Ribeira Brava on the south coast of Madeira Island, Portugal, about 16 kilometers west of Funchal.

This 150-meter-long beach is made of smooth rounded pebbles and black sand, giving it the distinctive Madeiran coastal charm. The beach offers complete support facilities including two swimming pools (one for adults and a smaller one for children), two sports fields for football and beach volleyball/handball, kayaks for rent, sun loungers, restrooms, changing rooms, a bar, and a restaurant, making it perfect for a full day of sun, sea, and relaxation.

It has Blue Flag status, indicating excellent water quality and environmental standards, with lifeguard supervision during the bathing season which runs from June 1 to September 22, 2025. The average summer water temperature is 21°C, and the water quality is described as impeccable and crystal-clear. The beach is completely free to access and is located near the town center with easy car access, outdoor parking, and in 2021 underwent improvements including new walkways and an elevator from the parking area for better accessibility.
