River Beach Fragas de São Simão, or Praia Fluvial das Fragas de São Simão, is a scenic river beach hidden in a narrow gorge in the Figueiró dos Vinhos municipality in central Portugal, within the Aldeias do Xisto network of traditional stone villages.

It lies along the clear Alge River, reached by a short walk along wooden paths from the schist village of Casal de São Simão, where the water is so transparent you can see the stones on the riverbed and the surrounding cliffs and green hills create a dramatic, almost canyon‑like setting.

The beach is nestled between two imposing rocky walls used for rock climbing, with small rocks and platforms that double as natural sunbathing and diving spots, and it is equipped with a beach bar with terrace, toilets, an accessible toilet, drinking‑water taps, parking, and good access for people with reduced mobility.
