Salomague Island is a hidden gem off the coast of Cabugao, Ilocos Sur in the Philippines, locally known as Puro-Sabang or Cabugao Island, featuring a long stretch of pristine white sand beach, clear turquoise waters, and coral reefs teeming with colorful marine life that make it ideal for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and diving.

The island is deserted and secluded, accessible via a five-minute traditional banca boat ride from Salomague port in Barangay Sabang, Cabugao, with no entrance fee but a boat rental cost of around 700 PHP, offering the solitude and tranquility that urban areas cannot provide. Best visited during the dry season from November to April when seas are calm and skies are sunny, the island is also an emerging destination for surfing and underwater adventures, with crystal-clear waters perfect for both beginners and experienced divers.

There is also a different, smaller Salomague island in the Sibuyan Sea under Santa Cruz in Marinduque province, covering about 5.37 square kilometers, but the Ilocos Sur island is the one most travelers seek for its beach paradise qualities.
