Sarangani Island, also called Balut Island, is a volcanic island in Davao Occidental province, southern Philippines, part of the Sarangani Islands group and administered under Sarangani municipality.

Covering roughly 54.6 square kilometers with Mount Balut stratovolcano rising to 862 meters, it sits across the Sarangani Strait from mainland Mindanao, featuring lush terrain used mainly for coconut farming and fishing amid the Celebes Sea.

Remote and sparsely populated, it attracts adventurous visitors for snorkeling around vibrant reefs, hiking volcanic trails, beachcombing, and exploring caves in a pristine, tropical setting with no major developments. Its fertile soils and marine bounty sustain local communities, though access requires boat trips from nearby ports like General Santos City.
