Satchari National Park, located in Habiganj District in the Sylhet Division of Bangladesh, is a small but biologically rich protected forest known for its lush greenery, rolling hills, and diverse wildlife.

Established as a national park in 2005, it covers about 243 hectares of tropical evergreen and semi-evergreen forest. The name “Satchari” means “seven streams,” referring to the seven small streams that flow through the forest and help support its rich ecosystem. The park is home to many rare and endangered species, including the Western Hoolock Gibbon, Bangladesh’s only ape, as well as langurs, slow lorises, hornbills, and numerous other birds and animals.

Surrounded by tea gardens and located in the scenic Raghunandan Hills, Satchari National Park is a popular destination for nature walks, birdwatching, and ecotourism. Its peaceful forest trails, abundant biodiversity, and natural beauty make it one of the most important wildlife sanctuaries in northeastern Bangladesh.
