Sbeitla, known in ancient times as Sufetula, is one of Tunisia’s most important Roman archaeological sites, located in the Kasserine Governorate.

Founded in the 1st century AD, the city flourished under Roman rule and is renowned for its remarkably well-preserved ruins, including temples, baths, a forum, triumphal arches, and early Christian churches. One of its most distinctive features is the Capitol complex, where separate temples were dedicated to Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva.

The site reflects a blend of Roman, Byzantine, and early Christian influences, offering valuable insight into the region’s rich history. Today, Sbeitla is a major cultural attraction, drawing visitors with its impressive ancient architecture and historical significance.
