The Shahaniyah Camel Race Track in Al Shahaniya is the center of Qatar’s famous camel racing tradition, a sport that has been an important part of the country’s heritage for generations.

Visitors can watch camels race at high speeds with remotely controlled robot jockeys, a unique blend of tradition and modern technology. Located west of Doha, the track is especially active during the racing season from October to April, when major domestic and international competitions take place.
