Slane Castle is a historic castle overlooking the River Boyne in County Meath, Ireland.

The present building was largely reconstructed in the late 18th century in a Gothic Revival style and has been the home of the Conyngham family for more than 300 years. The estate occupies a prominent position in the Boyne Valley, one of Ireland’s most historically significant landscapes. The castle is known for its impressive architecture, landscaped grounds, and rich history.

After suffering severe fire damage in 1991, it underwent a major restoration that returned it to its former grandeur. In modern times, Slane Castle has become internationally famous as the venue for the annual Slane concerts, which have hosted world-renowned artists such as U2, The Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen. Today, it remains one of Ireland’s best-known heritage attractions, combining historical significance with a strong cultural legacy.
