South Beach Rush
Rush, Dublin, Ireland, Ireland
South Beach Rush, also known simply as Rush South Beach, is a long, gently sloping sandy beach in the coastal village of Rush, County Dublin, Ireland, located on the north side of Dublin Bay between Malahide and Skerries.
It stretches about 2.4 km and is backed by a well‑established dune system, with a rocky headland to the north that helps shelter the shoreline and gives it a spacious, open feel. The beach is popular with families, dog walkers, and runners, and the southern end is especially favoured by kitesurfers because of the consistent winds and wide, shallow water.
Facilities include a large public car park, toilets, and seasonal lifeguards in summer, and the area also attracts birdwatchers at low tide when waders and wildfowl feed along the sands and edge of the nearby Rogerstown estuary.
