Tago Island
Concepcion, Iloilo, Philippines, Philippines
Tago Island is a small island in northeastern Iloilo, Philippines, part of the Concepcion Islands group off the eastern coast of Panay Island.
It lies just a short distance from the mainland, with the nearest promontory only about 200 meters away, and is administered as part of the municipality of Concepcion in Iloilo Province.
The island is more mountainous and coral‑fringed than many low‑lying sand islets in the area, with steep terrain and limited flat land, giving it a rugged, almost drowned‑mountain appearance rising from the Visayan Sea.
It is one of the quieter, less‑developed islands in the group, mainly visited for its natural scenery and as a stepping‑off point for boat trips to nearby islands such as Bag‑o Isi and the larger Pan de Azucar, with simple local tourism and a small seasonal festival adding a touch of community life to the otherwise tranquil setting.
