This isolated donjon, lacking a surrounding curtain wall due to the family's financial decline from internal conflicts, was partially destroyed by a mid-20th-century earthquake but consolidated in the 1970s following archaeological research, with nearby ruins of a medieval church revealing 15th-century frescoes linked to regional painting schools. Today, it stands as a proud, lesser-known symbol of the village, overlooking forests and hills, and attracts history enthusiasts exploring Transylvania's noble fortifications despite limited documentation on its exact origins.
