White's Castle in Athy, Ireland, was originally built in 1417 by Sir John Talbot, the Viceroy of Ireland, to protect the newly constructed bridge over the River Barrow.

The castle is a three-story tower house with a battered base, and features notable historic elements such as the Earl of Kildare's coat of arms displayed by the main doorway, reflecting its past ownership. Over the centuries, the castle underwent several renovations, including extensions in the early 19th century to serve as a prison and later as a police barracks.

It played a significant role during the Irish Confederate Wars in the 1640s, changing hands multiple times, and was used as a prison during the 1798 rebellion. The castle has also functioned as a private residence. White's Castle remains a prominent historic landmark in Athy, closely tied to the city's history and its strategic location by the river.
