Aberglasney Gardens is a celebrated historic garden set in the Tywi Valley near Llangathen, Carmarthenshire, in southwest Wales, about halfway between Carmarthen and Llandeilo.

The site centers on a restored Elizabethan cloister garden, thought to be the only surviving example of its kind in the UK, surrounded by more than 10 acres of linked garden “rooms” that blend formal layouts, woodland planting, and exotic collections.

Visitors can wander through features such as the Ninfarium, an indoor subtropical garden, plus a pool garden, an Asiatic garden, a sunken garden with a modern water feature, and a Yew‑tree arch, all changing beautifully with the seasons.

The gardens are set alongside the grade II* listed Aberglasney House, whose ground floor hosts exhibitions, and the site includes a tearoom that uses produce from the estate’s own kitchen garden, making it a full‑day destination for garden lovers and casual visitors alike.
