Altes Schloss Hemerten is a historic manor-style castle located on the Gut Hemerten estate in Münster, Bavaria. The building developed from an earlier manor house and was expanded in the 19th century, with sections constructed in 1856 and 1886. Its distinctive appearance includes cross gables and a neo-Baroque gable, giving it the character of a small noble residence. The estate was acquired in 1861 by the Mennonite entrepreneur Otto Petsch, who established a model agricultural operation there. Later, the property passed to the von Schnurbein family, who continue to be associated with the estate. Today, Altes Schloss Hemerten is a protected historic landmark and forms part of the larger Gut Hemerten complex, which also includes the newer Schloss Hemerten and other historic buildings.
